www.vip.com – After last week’s horrific terrorist attack on Mumbai in India England’s Cricketers have agreed to head back over to Asia to finish off their on-off tour of India. The Two Test match series will now take place after a new venue was found instead of Mumbai and after both the England and Indian Cricketing authorities gave assurances that the security that follows the teams around will be heightened considerably both on and off the Cricket field which should deter anymore mindless attacks.
The England team will prepare for the series at the beautiful resort of Abu Dhabi which will give the players time to acclimatize to the heat again and give them time to practice without any chance of any distractions.
The Test series itself should be a lot closer affair then the one day fiasco in which India dominated from the first ball till the last until the terrorists struck ending the chance of the two teams finishing off the intended 7 one day match series.
With players in the England side like Captain Kevin Pieterson, Andrew Flintoff and bowler Steve Harmison being more accustomed to the five day game instead of the one day version I can see a better battle between the two teams but at the end of the day I still think India will win the series 2-nil and with big bookmakers such as Ladbrokes and William Hill’s in particular giving out many prices such as the final score, highest scorer (batsman) and highest wicket taker (bowler) you can be sure Cricket fans out there will be able to have a flutter on whatever you wish.
