The US Sports betting markets and at ladbrokes.com can prove profitable to both the casual and more discerning punter.

Betting on US Sports breaks into two categories; the form follower and the casual punter and it is with the former that we start with.

The great thing about all US Sports and US online sports book is the amount and variety of stats each sport has. Utilising these is an easy way to guide you towards winning bets.

If you want to make a bet, visit www.ladbrokes.com and test your luck.

For example in baseball not only will the official statistics tell you which team is going well at the moment but also how well that team performs in each month and goes even further and applies that to players. One of the most important factors in baseball is the opposing pitchers and the stat book will tell you how they perform against the team they are facing.

You can pretty much find anything you like from the numbers and they tend to be accurate. The markets also offer opportunities for using these stats well and go from the simply head to head outright to number of runs in the game which can easily be found through research.

Each sport at ladbrokes has this depth of archive and with a proper study should lead you to success. For the more casual among you a simple look at head to head stats can prove a good move and I suggest having ago on Major League Soccer when a glance at home and away form should see you right.

In this advert Betfair.com had insisted that they are Britain’s biggest online betting company so whatever you’re bet and whatever your odds, you’re much more likely to find someone to match it. Also they are giving away a free £20 matched bet today; you could even receive better odds when betting against each other. However this ad is in black and white it still contained enough information to make me want to sign up for Betfair.com.

The first ever Coral Kentucky Derby Race was on the 17th of May in 1875, at Churchill Downs in Louisville.

The Race was started by Meriweather Lewis Clarke Jnr, who wanted a race that would rival England’s Epson Derby. Meriweather came to England and studied the Epsom Derby tracks and its races and then went back to Louisville and established the Kentucky Derby Race that most Race goers know and still love today.

You can now also make bets online at coral.co.uk by going to their online sports book.

The Kentucky Derby was however just another Derby race, until 1902 when Colonel Matt J Winn took over the track and although he knew very little about horses and horse racing, he was a great promoter. After frequent trips to new York and persuading owners to enter their horses into the race, the Kentucky Derby became the best known horse race in North America by 1920.

Leading up to this great race you will find a fantastic week of activities going on around the track and it brings in spectators totaling over 100,000. The Kentucky Derby race has always been one and a quarter miles long except in 1879 and 1895, when it was one and a half miles long.
