Only three of the top ten is missing this week (that includes Tiger Woods by the way) and with an increased entry this year we are in for some fantastic golf this vip.com weekend.
The extra entries does make it slightly hard to pick the winner of this years event but for the more discerning punter there is some value to be found.
First of all you can’t really ignore world vip number two Phil Mickelson. The ‘lefty’ is playing his usual consistent excellent golf and is the form player after winning at last weekend. At 7/1 he isn’t great value but probably worth putting a quid or two on him.
The very best value seem to be Rod Pampling at 66/1. The Aussie isn’t the most of prolific golfers but there are a few signposts to say he’s worth playing on each way. For a start he’s playing well as shown by his second place last weekend behind Mickelson. Also he led this tournament last year going into the final round before eventually finishing third. Indifferent he may be but has often posted good scores without taking the top prize. www.vip.com
Finally one player at a massive price that might be worth a look at is Matt Kuchar. Don’t let the 125/1 price put you off he’s been playing some good gold recently and could squeeze into the reckoning.
VIP.com has great odds on memorial golf and lots of other sports!
